Saturday 5 May 2007: Yma swims and Sarah runs into a Face The Day fan and old friend and flute player...
Heidi says: Yma swims...
Sarah says:
It's late and I gotta hit the sack because tomorrow I have a bunch of people coming over including Heidi for my daughter's birthday breakfast. I have a lot to do in the morning so I have to get up bright and early. I am so very on the rag right now I feel like I could sleep for weeks. I feel moody and bloated and unpleasant. But this too will pass! Anyway - what was fun tonight at the concert of Feather, the band of ex-ex-Greyn-ex-Horus guitar player Filip Dewaele - was running into Horus' ex flute-player Ine, who was also my physio-therapist for a while before my back operation. It was great to see Feather play too of course - reminded me of old Horus stuff. Not really my cup of tea anymore but wonderful to see Filip and his band mates so good-busy. They will do well with the right sort of audience. What struck me personally is how far away I have moved from that sort of music, which I used to love! It was a bit too "emotional" music for me now. I think back then when I used to sing that sort of song full of details about my private struggles - well, I was struggling a lot and trying to work a lot of unresolved stuff out through lyrics and song. I'm not there anymore. I don't have that much left to work out for the moment. That's a good thing. That's why I am ready for easy and fun and loud garage rock! But again - more power and good luck to Feather. I'm sure there are a lot of people out there it will touch and who will like it. And Filip - well, he is a gem of a person and it is really nice to see him sitting on his self-made special drum playing away. I didn't really miss Horus or Greyn at all while watching this concert because like I said - it's not my thing anymore - it doesn't really reach me or touch me - but I did miss being in a band with a good friend and good person such as Filip - and Ine too I have to add. I also ran into Greyn's ex bass player at the gig tonight. So it got me feeling slightly nostalgic. On the other hand - well, it made me look forward to going nuts and wild on stage again one day and singing simple but fun stuff...
Now - back to Ine - a Face The Day Fan. So obviously I know a bunch of people check Face The Day everyday or week or month or now and then and I like that idea - simple stats show about minimum 43 loyal hitters everyday and about 27 new ones - that's average... But it's always even more fun when someone I run into - like Ine tonight - tells me that they check Face The Day everyday! Who would have known! I mean I never expect it from anyone - I wonder why people even bother. But then again - Heidi and I wouldn't have this daily blog if we didn't hope people were checking in every now and then! So Ine - it's good to have you here as a special Face The Day guest star and thanks for being a loyal Face The Day Viewer - one of the loyal 43! We love our viewers so we love you! If anyone needs a good physio-therapist in the Vichte region - I recommend Ine to you all! Now it is bed time! Nighty night!
In line with all that above is this funny article from The Onion. Click here to get into the mind of all the pathetic bloggers out there such as myself and Heidi! Hahahahahahaha...
