Friday 4 May 2007: It’s Sarah’s kid’s 8th BIRHDAY today!!! Party! Woo Hoo! And check out Sarah’s fantastic haircut!

Heidi says:
yeah! yeah! weekend! yeah! Tonight spinning and eating with friends. Saturday concert of THE LEGENDE in DE SNUFFEL in Bruges. Sunday Ayla's birthday party. It's going to be a fine weekend! By the way, I urgently need to go home and dance to that new Christina Aguilera song 'Candyman'. Who would have thought that I would ever say such a thing about Christina Aguilera! That song is just so amazing! Everything is good about it: the voice, the groove, the videoclip! It's swell!
I need to shake that ass! I need a party!
Oh by the way, I am on a diet! Gonna loose my last kilos! I'm done with being bigger than I should be (especially because I have a whole wardrobe waiting for me). It is going well!
Oh by the way way: HAPPY BIRTHDAY AYLA!!!!!! Amazing you are 8 already! Enjoy Enjoy Enjoy girlie! I have a nice present waiting for you!!!!!
Sarah says:
I can’t believe my daughter is now 8! Check her out last year on this day by clicking here and clicking here! My how time flies! She’s such a big girl now. I love this little person more than anyone and anything. She is SUNSHINE! This weekend she’ll have a lot of fun celebrating. We stayed up late making chocolate-M&M cookies last night so she could take them to school today. COOKING TIP: Usually I keep such cookies soft by putting layers of white bread between layers of cookies. The cookies suck in the moisture from the bread and the bread goes all dry. The cookies can stay soft for days this way. But now I have a new tip that I found on the internet. Use a small teaspoon of corn starch (maizine) in your cookie batter and the cookies will stay very soft for days as well – just one little spoon does this! It’s amazing. The cookies were chewier than ever! Great stuff!
Two of my kid’s friends will sleep over tonight and stay till late tomorrow afternoon. Tomorrow night we’ll go see Greyn’s ex-ex guitar-player's (Filip Dewaele - check out his other site Amba-Amba) new band Feather play for the first time. Sunday we’ll have lots of family and friends over for a birthday breakfast. I feel like super-freaking-mom right now. All these weekends devoted to my kid! I can’t wait to have a night or weekend to myself! I long to go to the movies one of these days! It’s been so long! I’m not complaining – all I’m saying is that I want some down time!

Check out my hair cut below! I love it! It’s light and fresh and airy! She cut so much off. It was frightening. This must be the shortest it has ever been – but somehow it still looks long to me because it’s big hair. I have big hair no matter what. Washing it this morning was totally weird. I had no ponytail part to ring out. It’s all cut up in the back. I’m happy with it! It will be great in the summer not to be so warm with heavy hair. But this do takes more upkeep. It means monthly haircuts instead of every two or three months. But besides that, it’s very low maintenance. I hope it stays nice!
