TEN FULL YEARS! The above photo is from today, 31 August 2015, the start of the 11th!!!! year here at Face The Day - so it's time for another major Face the Day Flashback! Below you can go backward in time with us. Though we don't keep the blog up to date anymore, it's really fun for us to be able to at least get a photo on or around the 30th of August every year. We’re trying to face our changing faces head on! It’s a bit confronting as we do see the differences each year – but oh well, love thyself and all… It's still a me, me, me - or rather us, us, us world here at Face the Day - but just once a year thankfully :-). We are proud (and ashamed) that we were taking selfies already way back in 2005. We were daily, selfie queens.

Last year, we changed to pictures with no glasses (above) for the first time (see below) to really be able to track our aging over the years. We still plan to go for 50 more at least! Here's a link to last year's post.

We decided the answer is --> yes - so this is the transition year. We have the sunglass shot and the full-face shot, wrinkles, sagging eyelids and all. It's more honest and if you ask us, it is as (if not even more) beautiful. It's still a me, me, me - or rather us, us, us world here at Face the Day - but just once a year thankfully :-). Sarah will be in London on the 30th this year so since Heidi just cut Sarah's hair at her new company "Brilliant" - it seemed like today, the 21st of August 2013 was the best date for our yearly photo. Whoops - we took a portrait instead of a landscape! Must be our memory escaping us or time for a change!We enjoy being able to look back. It's a bit of a project - not one we take very seriously - but it's good to still be here in blog sphere sort of sticking with it... We'll see if we make it to the next 30th of August! Heidi went from blonde with a twist to short and darker this time. Sarah's hair got shorter and greyer all at the same time. Does our hiding our eyes mean that we'll never truly see how we are aging on here?

Above photo is from today actually - just to finally bring Face the Day up-to-date - though I see Heidi has been posting here and there - which is fantastic! Now - if Heidi manages to post a photo of herself today -- then we will really be up-to-date! Anyway - there is always the 30th of August to look forward to when we can post a photo of the last 6 years I think! Can't believe FTD has existed this long. We were very early adopters you know! In the blog world before many others. We can be proud of that. Believe it or not, this blog opened many doors. To think how far I am now immersed on the online stratosphere - it's crazy. I guess I could have known when a colleague asked me to start this blog up something like 7 or 8 years ago that it was the start of an online addiction!

Above photo is from 18 July 2011 - yesterday! Heidi and Yma stopped by to give us brownies they had baked. We had just made cookies. So we made a switch! It was fun and very neighborly and everything tasted so good! Felt very motherly too. It is so fun to cook with your kids!

I think the above photo is from Saturday the 16th of July 2011 and below one too. Heidi has just cut my hair I think. In below one, for sure. Shortest it has ever been!

Can't remember why but Heidi and I also saw each other Thursday or Friday the 14th or 15th. Passing on the street? My brain is blank! Old age I guess! :-)
