IT'S FACE THE DAY WITH HEIDI AND SARAH'S 15 YEAR BIRTHDAY!!!!!! TAKE A LOOK AT THE LAST 15 YEARS IN A ROW!!!! See you next year!

 

Fifteen freaking years! The above phots are from 31 August 2020, the start of the 16th!!!! year here at Face The Day - so it's time for another major Face the Day Flashback! Below you can go backward in time with us. Though we don't keep the blog up to date anymore, it's really fun for us to be able to at least get a photo on or around the 30th of August every year. We’re trying to face our changing faces head-on! It’s a bit confronting as we do see the differences each year – but oh well, love thyself and all… It's still me, me, me - or rather us, us, us world here at Face the Day - but just once a year thankfully :-). We are proud (and ashamed) that we were taking selfies already way back in 2005. We were daily, selfie queens.

Since last year, Sarah donated her hair to ThinkPink last December right after finally getting her master's degree in Communication/Journalism at the VUB! She started growing it again right away in order to be able to donate it again on her 50TH birthday next June! This is Sarah's last Face the Day in her 40s. Sarah also finally has a new pair of glasses. It was about time!  Heidi is about to go blond again - and will have a new hairstyle yet again! Since last year, she's become a Zoom expert and is a buzzing bee, as usual! Yellow seems to be our chosen color this year -- maybe to add some sunshine, energy and color to this cloudy day and these corona times. OH YEAH - and the biggest news is that this is the first Face the Day that we have to do at a 1.5-meter distance from each other, thanks to corona. So we're showing two views so that we each have a big and small head photo. What a crazy, corona year it's been. We hope that by this time next year we can be almost on each other's laps taking the next Face the Day photo!

In 2014, we changed to pictures with no glasses (above) for the first time (see below) to really be able to track our aging over the years. We still plan to go for 50 more at least! Here's a link to our 2014 post.

There we are above 11 years ago on 30 August 2009 starting our 5th year at Face the Day with Heidi and Sarah! We may not keep it up as much as we did in the past as life has changed a lot for both of us but we do our best to update it now and then.
