Thursday 06 September 2007: Heidi and Sarah welcome special Face The Day Guest Ellen DB!
Sarah says:
One rule Heidi and I have here at Face The Day is that we leave work out of it as much as possible. Face the day just isn't the place for it. We work all day and that's that. We work together and that's great. We are both leaving our present job at the end of the month and moving on. And in the above photo you can see my replacement and a new very loud and fun person in my and Heidi's days. This is Ellen DB. She's a nice Belgian girl who seems far more American than I do! She lived and worked in Atlanta, Georgia for 6 years recently and she has a Southern twang and a dirty mouth and mind and she's a whole lot of fun and very LOUD like we are. Who knows what the future will bring for Ellen and for Heidi and for me - but we have been having some fun together in between working hard. At then end of this month, when Heidi and I do leave where we have worked for the last 6 years, we'll probably briefly mention work again -- but that'll be it. Face The Day is no place for work topics! There are some limits! I'll happily tell you all about the beard I'm growing, my period and zits but rarely if ever about work!
Don't you think Ellen is very photogenic? She even looks American! It's uncanny! I feel more Belgian than ever next to her and she seems so over-the-top American to me. Life is very funny and interesting. I hear Ellen saying "duuuuude" all day long and she hears me saying "mulle and tote". It's a laugh I tell ya! I think Ellen will be best suited if she gets her arse back to The States! She seems so suited for America - spirited and all... She actually can live there as her family won the Green Card lottery once upon a time. I always thought the Green Card Lottery was just a big scam! What did I know! Anyway, we'll only know Ellen for a short time more - although I'm sure all of our paths will continue to cross here and there - we wish her well with work, the boys, the body and fun, fun, fun!

She looks Belgian to me. But a cute Belgian for sure.
She looks cute to me but a Belgian cutey for sure.
Oooh my I even get comments on here ... I love it ... Yep, I am pretty American in my behavior but I know you guys love and Sarah I know you love it when i say " duuuude".
You girls are great! I love you both so much!
Love, Ellen
Ellen - did you write those comments about how cute you look yourself? Ha ha ha! Keep up the good work girly! You are a Face The Day Star! - SRA
OH - one last thing to add - only an America-like gal could already declare her love for me and Heidi just a couple of weeks after knowing us! See what I mean?! No insult to Belgians, but that kind of talk just doesn't happen here in this more-reserved country. This is why Europeans often think Americans are superficial - because we easily declare our "love" for others quickly! More power to you Ellen! -SRA
