Monday 4 June 2007: Three is a magic number and Sarah has cleavage :)

Sarah says
:
I didn't realize that dress dipped so low. I have to do something about that. When I put the dress on because I had to send a photo of it to a friend, I saw that I gained some weight again. I felt really fat in the dress - like I couldn't hide the rolls. Probably just from what I ate this weekend! I have to be a good girl this week. I have to go to ASG's wedding in Scotland (with Heidi!!!) in two weeks and I want to feel good in my dress! I made homemade chocolate chip cookies for all my colleagues for my birthday and well, the cookies are a bit too good to avoid if I do say so myself. Hopefully with my brother and his wife here all week I'll get back on my smoothie kick as they are smoothie lovers! I was doing so well there for a while but I fell off the wagon. I gotta get back on! I also look tired and worn out again. That's not good. It's gonna be a good but a rough week. I can feel it. I am excited so see my brother and his wife though! That'll be fun, fun, fun! I have to pick them up bright and early at the airport tomorrow so I had better get some sleep tonight. I stay up way too late - usually due to watching Battlestar Galactica, which is sad really! I need to learn to choose sleep over stuff like that. I'm sure I'd look and feel better for it!

Heidi says:
I am happy! I am truly happy and I want the world to know! My weekend was great. We ate out on Friday, having good food and good conversations. Then on saturday, Nico, Tom, Sarah and me celebrated Sarah's birthday in Bruges, which was hilarious at certain times. We had a nice time, eh Sarah?
But then, Sunday! Oh Sunday! What a glorious day! It was a very simple day filled with simple things, but that is what made it what it was: one of the best days in my life.
It started with sleeping out. Nico and me and our own bit of time. We woke up with little rays of light shining through the curtains, kissed each other good morning and had our breakfast outside. We had bread with chocolate spead and I was on camp with the youth movement all over again. It was eating fresh air while biting the bread with chocolate spread, enjoying the little sounds of outside life, holiday life. We took our time, but we knew the fleamarket was waiting for us so that was the next stop.
Then, one highlight of the day: we picked up Yma at Nico's parents! She smiled from the moment she saw us. That little sweet baby. We took her home and brought her to dreamland. Again Nico and me enjoyed our own bit of time outside, reading magazines and fighting the laundry-beast that was conquering. We won!
When Yma came back from dreamland, she ate a big pot of fruit pablum (fruitpap). It made her mommy and daddy very proud!
Yma was very lively and we decided to take her out, to the butterflygarden 'venning' close to our house. Nico took her on his arm, I kicked my shoes out, and we walked through the grass, looking at all the beautiful plants, imagining we were on a little trip. We felt so far and so close from home at the same time. Yma loved it. She was paying attention to our explanations of every plant, and we almost heard her repeating the names after us (but that was only in our heads). The butterflygarden expedition ended and we continued our walk, with Yma as our guide in her buggy. She told us all about the things she saw around her during the walk. She saw 'papapapapa' and 'mamamama' and every now and then she thought she saw 'tatataaaaaaa'. She sang for us and she smiled at us. She was happy. We were happy.
Home again, Yma gave us a perfect end of the day: she started to crawl. She used her little bare knees and hands, and moved. She was proud and so were we. She give us big smiles. She went to the land of dreams again, we missed her but we knew we'd see her back soon.
I AM HAPPY! I love my family! It is true, Three Is A Magic Number! Yes it is!
